On Thursday 9th May, year 2 enjoyed a Roman Day. The children really enjoyed being in role and completing different tasks to learn about the Romans and their lives. They made sweets, mosaic tiles, shields, wrote their names in calligraphy - did you know that the Roman alphabet only has 25 letters? They don't have the letter 'U'. They found out some revolting facts from looking at artifacts and even marched in the Roman army!
