Nelson Academy's 3rd annual beach clean took place on Saturday 30th September.

On a beautiful sunny day in Hunstanton, families of Nelson Academy came together to rid the beach of rubbish.  Parents, children, and teachers woke early on the Saturday to do their part in keeping our seas clean of debris.  The amusing thing was, upon arrival, there was no beach.  Due to a storm and the full moon, the tide was especially high and slow at going out.  Instead, our beach cleaners scoured the green and promenade and bagged lots of trash. Towards the end of our hour, the beach appeared, and the families were able to get onto the sand, and we were able to clean there as well.  It was a wonderful day out, the locals were happy with our work, and we really did make a difference.  Talks are in progress to hold another clean in the spring.
